Sabrina Samaroo, Head Teacher
Sabrina Samaroo came to Gillen Brewer in September 2014. She holds a Masters of Science in Childhood/Special Education with a special annotation in Severe and Multiple Disabilities including deaf blindness from Hunter College. Over the last 8 years Sabrina has volunteered on 175 volunteer projects around New York City!
Carly Tobin, Assistant Teacher
Carly joined the Gillen Brewer community this year and recently obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Childhood Education. She plans to further her education and obtain a Masters degree in either Speech and Language Pathology or Special Education. Carly is a Yankees fan!
Sam Circh, Assistant Teacher
This is Sam’s third year at Gillen Brewer; he is currently completing his Master’s Degree in Early Childhood /Special Education at Hunter College. Sam has been working at the same summer camp since the age of 16!
Carli Koch, Psychologist
Dr. Carli Koch came to Gillen Brewer in September 2013. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Skidmore College and both a Master of Science in Educational Psychology and Doctorate in School Psychology from Fordham University. Carli is a New York State Certified and Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Carli has traveled to 22 different countries and her list grows every year!
Daria Morganstern, Speech and Language Pathologist
Daria started at Gillen Brewer in 2015. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology at Ithaca College and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Queens College. Her favorite hobbies are singing and photography (not at the same time), both of which she loves bringing to her work here at Gillen Brewer!
Katie Hanauer, Occupational Therapist
Katie Hanauer is starting her 9th year at Gillen Brewer. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Art History (yes, really!) at Union College and a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy at Boston University. Katie worked at sensory gyms in Connecticut, D.C., and New York prior to starting at GBS. She is an avid reader, terrible fantasy football player, and loves to travel!
